Root Canal Treatment

The aim of root canal treatment is to restore a tooth that has been badly damaged due to decay, disease or injury AND has infected pulp (nerve). Root canal treatment is successful in most cases provided the patient takes good care of the treated tooth; it may last for many years and possibly for the rest of your life.
Root Canal is usually over three appointments. One to take as much infected tissue out from the canals of the roots of a tooth. The second to shape the canals within the roots of a tooth. And the final appointment is to obturate the empty space with Gutta Percha (resin from a Gutta Percha tree) and place a final filling over the root canal.
It is recommended that 3 months after root canal is completed a crown is placed to protect the tooth.
Many teeth are saved from extraction by having root canal treatment each year. We can care for your extensively decayed and infected tooth through Nickel-Titanium devices and thermal filling material
